More pictures from our trip

Can you believe this kid's cheeks? I wish I had more time to plant kisses on Kaiyan's cute face.

I love how Liam always has a big grin on his face. He is such a cute kid.

Grandma Great and all of her great grandkids in one spot.

I thought this one was cute of Noelle.

cousins

We had a great time visiting everyone including, my cousins, Jed's counsins, and Elizabeth and Noelle's cousins. Here are some pictures.

I love this picture with my children scowling and Liam just looking happy and content.

Tyler loved the babies especially Liam and kept him entertained.

Ellyn's crazy hair was too cute not to take a picture of.

Can you tell which legs belong to 8 month old Liam and which belong to 13 month old Lizzy?? Lets just say the girls are still petite and Liam is on the other end of the growth curve.

Our North Carolina Adventure

We survived our cross country adventure to North Carolina and had a great time. Jed had an residency interview at the Carolina's Medical center and we got a chance to visit the Carlsons while we were there. The twins did pretty well considering it takes all day to fly from Alaska to Charlotte. Danielle and Liam met us at Lisa's house and the girls enjoyed playing with all the cousins. We got a chance to do a little shopping and visited a Revolutionary war battle site too. On our way back we had an extended layover in Salt Lake which allowed us a very quick visit with Jeds cousins and grandma. All in all it was a very fun trip.

The Carlson clan in front of their beautiful home

Noelle and Elizabeth playing in a baby crib in the Carlson's sun room.

Tyler's snowman that he made during the North Carolina blizzard. We were expecting to arrive with 60 degree weather but instead it was in the 30s and snowing for part of our visit. Believe it or not, they actually canceled church because of this snow storm. hahahaha we would never have church in the winter if Alaska was held to those standards.

This is a picture of a monument at King's mountain, a turing point in the Revolutionary war. They have a national park museum and trail that winds around the mountain where the battle took place.

Beautiful winter

Photos from a winter walk

The Hindenburg

Another new years tradition is for my dad to make a balloon out of tissue paper. Unfortunately, like the Hindenburg, it turned out to be a really hot idea. Too hot. The balloon caught on fire which made quite a show but was a little scary when the sparks were flying over our roof. Here are the pictures in order.

Hats off to the new year

The party crowd

Our fine assortment of new year's hats.

Chris, Jake, Jed and Logan sporting their hats.

Grandma Hazel wearing the fruity hat I made.

In keeping with tradition, we all made hats on new years eve. We had a wonderful assortment of snacks, sparkling cider and friends to ring in the new year in style. We celebrated with the Greens, the Victors, Grandma Hazel, Bryce and Logan. The twins wanted to stay up late too but dozed off just before the countdown.
