Happy Halloween

Some pictures from our Halloween festivities including a school "harvest festival,"(I think it is lame that they can't still call it a Halloween Carnival),  A church Halloween party,  a family party and trick or treating.  All in all we had more than our fair share of treats and candy.  I think we will be eating leftover snack food from our Halloween party for the rest of the week but it turned out nice and it was fun having friends over.

As far as costumes this year was really easy we had everything already and it was just a matter of raiding the dress up box. The girls got their Disney dresses from their babysitters a few months ago and have been planning on being princesses (again) for Halloween for some time.  My Mary Poppins  look was made from things in my closet, an old hat of my Grandmothers that I added flowers to,  and a bag that I sewed using leftover upholstery fabric Lisa had given me.

Can you spot the Obama look alike next to Iron Man in the  last group of pictures?  I tried to label him for you but the collage cut off the words. Granted you don't really have to look like a person to dress like them for Halloween but this kid and Obama...Hmmm...it's a pretty big stretch but good for a smile.

Northern Lights

The Aurora Borealis has been out in full force lately.  Definately one of the perks of living in Alaska.
