Mile high

I love the view from the top of the mountain.  We got to do a little hike up Mile High with Dani and Brady while they were in town.  Special thanks to Grandma "Lene" for volunteering to watch the kids so we could go out.  I am still afraid to take the kids hiking here since this is where we saw the brown bear when we were backpacking with the girls when they were babies.  

Nin got married!

My little brother Justin, (we have called him "Nin" since he was a toddler) got married on June 1st.  And as typical custom for our family for weddings, lots of people came to see the wedding and wish him and his bride Brittany well.  It was a simple and beautiful ceremony at the Anchorage Temple. When Brittany walked out the temple doors she was immediately greeted by Lizzy and Noey who could help but touch such a beautiful wedding gown.

Here are some photos from Justin and Brittany's wedding dinner at my parents house.  It was a really classy event, if I do say so myself.  It was an example of my family at its best working together to pull off something wonderful.  My mom did a ton of work preparing the food along with help from my aunts, cousins and a few friends.  The chocolate torte my sister made for it was simply heavenly along with other carefully selected desserts.  My aunt Jessie and I had been brainstorming away about how to decorate the tables. Jessie worked her magic creating stunning flowers that gave the table an elegance.  In the end everything turned out looking fantastic.   Here is the final result, i wish I had a picture of the beautiful bride and groom too but I was too busy eating the good food.
