The first loose tooth

Noelle lost her first tooth this week.  You can't see much of a gap in the picture because she has 2 shark teeth that have been coming in for a month now and are ready to take the spot of her baby tooth.  Her mouth has been looking a little crowded so we've been encouraging her to wiggle her tooth each day in hopes it would finally fall out.  And it did while she was eating yogurt....yes, yogurt, go figure.

She was so excited at first and was jumping with excitement with her sister up until the point Elizabeth pointed out she bleeding in her mouth.   Then the tears and screaming commenced.  From the sounds of commotion you would have thought that she had lost a limb.  "I don't like loose teeth" she screamed so loud I'm pretty sure the neighbors heard.  Eventually the bleeding stopped and the weeping subsided and she calmed down enough to put her tooth in her vintage tooth fairy pillow. (It was Jed's tooth fairy pillow).  The tooth fairy gave her a sparkly dollar and that seemed to be enough to forget the trauma of the night before.

Now the one next to it is due to come out.  I am hoping we have a little less drama.

And yes, Liz has the same tooth loose right now growing in like a shark.  Identical twins are fascinating.

Kai lost his first tooth, too. We happened to be on FaceTime with him, at the time. He twisted it right out. Exciting times!
