grooming
This is what happens when I let my kids dress themselves and do each others hair. (which pretty much happens everyday at this house). There are some good life lessons in this video like don't trust a stylist with crazy hair, a shirt that
says "bad hair day" and who laughs at her work.
I love how Elizabeth and Noelle interact with each other Lizzy's cute little "thanks Noey" and Noelles look of determination when working her comb.

my crazy kids
the first picture is the girls in their backwards PJ's barking at the neighbors dog. We have been putting their pajamas on backwards at night in order to keep them from waking up nude everyday. The middle pictures are the product of the phrase "smile for mommy". The last pictures are of Elizabeth's new fashions. Both of the girls like to play dress up and rarely wear the same outfit all day long. This one was a swimming suit with bloomers and then a pair of leggings on top of that. Today Liz was walking kinda funny so when I went to investigate I found that she had on 3 pairs of underwear but she had both legs through one hole on each pair.
The Scot, the hulk, and the hairball
Jed said that he has "always wanted a kilt." So since Justin is in Scotland I figured now was a good time to get him one. I'm glad he is man enough to wear the kilt. We still have to figure out how to use scotish acessories that Justin sent with it.
So while I was decorating the ram cake in the kitchen my little cupcakes had somehow snached the food coloring. They quickly turned into little hulks smearing the green food coloring on their hands, their faces and the couch.
Indy has been shedding his winter coat lately and my whole world seems to be covered in dog hair. I sweep and vaccuum multiple times a day with no avail. Here is a picture of our hairball waiting for the girls to feed him lunch too.
The Big 30
Wow, it is hard to believe that I am married to someone in their 30's but sure enough, it's true. Jed turned the big three zero yesterday and we had a quiet little family thing as he requested (I wanted to have a huge celebration but he didn't).
We went out to eat at Red Robbins on Saturday. He spent his REI dividend, which was burning a hole in his pocket. And we ate a birthday cake with a dall sheep ram on it. The girls got to it and ate half of the H candle.
I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful man. He is so kind, patient, and forgiving. He is compassionate doctor who really cares about those he treats. He is a great father and his daughters adore him. They can hardly wait each day for him to come and shower them with tickles and maybe sneak them a gummy worm or two. He is extremely smart and handsome too. I am glad I have been able to spend the last 7 1/2 years with such an awesome guy! (even if he is old):)
